USC has invited Ustad Nishat
Khan to perform a concert, and it is Free.
If you like classical Indian music with modern
emphasis, this is a chance of a life time to experience progressive classical
music come to life.
Ustad Nishat Khan is the 8th generation in his family
whom a unique and genuine spectrum of Indian music was passed down to. These pieces of music have been forwarded
from one master to another through the perfectionism of ones ability to have a
listening ear to every detail of every movement within the immense
contributions and gathering of eternal categories of sounds. This music could never be derived from
written music notes because of its complexity.
There exist no written notes for such profound rhythms anywhere.
Many have attempted to imitate the ability to execute
these movements as naturally on a sitar as Ustad Nishat Khan, but none can ever
imitate the sound of eight generations of tradition, imbedded within the unique
ability in how the master plays his music.
Don’t miss the opportunity to attend this rare
concert.
You must RSVP.
